So last night was the worst. A lot of stuff was happening and I was hysterically bawling my eyes out on and off until 5 in the morning. I was screaming at people and my stomach was in knots because I was really scared. This wasn't something dumb, like my boyfriend breaking up with me or my Dad taking away my phone. I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant and I've heard that a lot of stress can bring on early labor or stuff like that...I think I felt my baby moving last night after it was all over but I can't be sure. I have an appointment on Wednesday but I was just wondering if you've heard of anyone having a miscarriage because of stress? I haven't been getting cramps or anything but I'm really worried. Does it sound like everything is ok? Thanks guys.

  1. Yes, I have. Because of stress, fighting with my ex. You need to calm down and take a few minutes. Whatever is upsetting you try to get away from it or them. Screaming at people is not going to help, it's just going to upset you more. Count to ten sit down and take some deep breaths or listen to some calming music. Take a walk get some fresh air. That might not be such a good idea in the middle of the night, but any other time would be OK. My mom and grandma used to say the baby can hear you crying. I think that may be true.

  2. one of my oldest and closest friends died when i was about 20 weeks or so, unexpectedly.  i called my doc and they told me there is a vitamin u can take to help deal with stress.  i know its a vitamin b but not sure which one.  call and find out.......

  3. Stress can make you have a miscarriage. But I think it's on going stress. Not just a one time really upset thing. Good luck

  4. no ur good

  5. There are theories that high levels of stress can cause problems with a baby - though I think most of the concern is that the baby knows you are stressed and so they get stressed too.

If you are 20 weeks there is a very low risk of miscarriage, so please don't worry.

Try to keep calm - I know it isn't easy when something bad has happened but try to calm yourself down, breathe deeply and clear your mind for a few minutes then try to work through whatever has happened.

Talking to someone will help as well - you know the saying - a problem shared...

If you are concerned about the baby, try to talk to your midwife ASAP, and trust me, midwives have seen and heard it all so if anyone can be a sympathetic ear, she's it.

    Good luck, x*x

  6. Well, my brothers girlfriend just lost their baby to stress. But, if you felt the baby move thats a sigh of relief. But being 19 weeks or so, if you are.. You won't feel the baby move ALOT! I'm 21 weeks and I'm just now starting to feel it move all the time. If you don't feel the baby move for a day or longer, call the doctor!
