I want to know if this is easy to change. I wouldn't do it myself but is it a cost difference to change it or should I just stick with what I have and get a 2 k**b set?

  1. as far as expense and trouble , i would stick with the two handle type for change out should be standard......if you go single lever, you will have to redo your tile , water supply connections will not match so this will have to be redone as well, expense wise, stick with your existing set-up , hope this helps........

  2. Being as you are re-doing the shower anyway then now is the time to put the new valve in. you can get a Delta pressure balanced shower valve for around $175.00 installation is extra. But when someone flushes a toilet you won't have the water temperature jump on you.

  3. I have a single one in current bathroom and much prefer it. I keep  the lever in the same position and all i have to do each day is lift the lever and same perfect temperature each time - no wasting water for 5 minutes trying to get that 'perfect' temperature with 2 k***s.

Also, though i'm not elderly, i think it's a good selling point for people who have arthritis etc

  4. Single handle mixer valves are out of sight cost wise, I think. But have your plumber give you a price for both before you decide. Upgrading the plumbing my be the wiser choice. I assume you are changing the plumbing anyway, not just the k***s.

  5. i used to have k***s and i changed to a lever. the lever is way easier to use
