I'm thinking the more options the better. What do you think?

  1. Be careful about Target.  They won't let you return or exchange ANYTHING without a receipt.  Not even for another item in the same department.  So if you register at a few places and end up with more than one of anything you are stuck with the one from Target unless you ask for a gift receipt.

To answer your other question, 3 seems like a bit much since Babies R Us has pretty much everything.  Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory has a pretty good selection too.  If you want to get bedding at Pottery Barn you could register there also (I think).

  2. I would disagree.

I wouldn't register at more than 2 places. And really, only one is necessary. Most guests aren't going to be bothered by looking up 3 different registries.

Babies R Us has absolutely everything you could need to have a baby. There are no other stores that cover as much, or have more options.

Plus, thats where most guests will think to look for your registry.

Keep in mind that a lot of people won't even shop off your registry, they'll just give you a giftcard or baby clothes.

  3. I second the warning about Target.  Their prices are good, but be sure that someone (maybe your Mom?) gets the word out that people should attach gift receipts just in case you get any duplicates.  (Even if you ask for one thing on your registry and the registry shows that two people purchased it, Target will STILL not let you return without a receipt.)

I don't think three stores are too many.  Maybe Amazon.com since you can ask for books as well as a huge variety of other things?

  4. PICK THE ONE YOU WANT THE MOST CAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARENT GONA BE BOTHERED WITH LOOKING AT ALL 3 U KNOW?......

  5. i did three and mostly everybody shopped at target. i only got a couple of things from the other stores but whatever you want to do is fine. some stuff that i wanted wasn't carried at target so i registered elsewhere.

good luck with getting everything you need!!

  6. I don't see why it would be too many. It's not like people have to buy you everything that you ask for....it's just a guideline and to help not buy something that someone else already bought. I'm in the same line of thought as you, more options the better.

  7. thats fine just dont add the same things on every registry or else you may end up with doubles or even triples! Good luck and congrats!

  8. i agree :)

that's what i'm going to end up doing :)

    congrats!

  9. Anywhere you want to register is fine! The more options for people to chose from the better... it's YOUR shower!! =D Good luck!

  10. You pretty much register for the same items at each place... if you register at 3 different places you could end up with 3 bouncers, swings etc.

  11. the more the better. we registered @ 2. just be careful not to register for the same thing twice, alot of stores carry the same items.

  12. I think that is just fine!

Even though shopping online has made it very convenient for registering, everyone may not be comfortable with that. If you register at more places, it allows everyone a better chance at accessing your registry!

  13. It is just great :) you can also read some tips about registering for your Baby Shower at:

  14. well i registered at Burlington coat factory and target.. and put alot of things on there buttt i only got one thing off my registry. it was good. maybe everyone is different i was just upset that i took all that time making a registry for all the things i needed. i did eventually get what i needed so just stick with two.. or just one big one at either place.

  15. I have mixed feelings about registering period.   Part of me thinks it's tacky to go to a store and pick out things you want so that you can tell other people what to buy for you.  The other part of me thinks it's nice because if you want to go with a particular theme or have a particular style people will be able to pick from those things. (since they want to buy things you like anyways) And it does help help from getting too many of the same item when people follow the process as directed.

I would definitely only pick places where you personally do and will shop.

If you want to pick three places that's fine.  The guest to your baby shower will be able to pick the place they like to shop the best.

I hope you have a healthy baby.

  16. I think 3 is fine - not all stores carry the same things.  This way you can register for a variety of things.  I recently went to a shower where the mom-to-be had only registered at one store.  There's only so many things you can get from one store, so all the moderately priced items were gone in a flash!

  17. I would stick to 2 tops.  Try Target or somewhere like that where they have almost everything, and maybe a specialty store like Babie's R Us.  Good luck!
