I'm reporting to MEPS for Navy physical test today, what should I expect?

I know I'm staying overnight at a Mariott Hotel and waking me up at 4:00AM, and I know that they're doing standard medical tests and urinalysis, but what else is there?

Am I doing my actual mile run, push ups, curl ups, etc, too?

  1. Starts about 5:00AM.  Complete physical, lab tests, audio test, color vision test, Nuero testing and possible more,  The only physical thing you will lift is a weight stack to see how much you can lift (required for some jobs).

  2. No, no running, push ups etc...

Lots of standing in line, giving over of fluids, standing around in a cold room uncomfortably with other semiclothed strangers, that's what you should expect.

  3. You should expect them to pamper you with things like waivers for not meeting laxed standards and they'll probably give you the answer key to the ASVAB. The Navy is the 2nd easiest branch of service right in front of the Air Force Reserve.

You should man up and join the Army, cause the thought of being stuck at sea on a boat full of guys is just wrong.

  4. Full physical exam to include blood and urine tests....no on pushups and sit ups and stuff.  Your recruiter should be giving you a full briefing en route to the hotel.

    Good Luck

  5. Unless things have drastically changed, the answer is no to the exercises.
