I am not rich and I pay my taxes diligently; however, what I resent is that my hard earned dollars are given away to countries in the world who hate us.  Much of America's tax dollars go to projects that do not warrant our support. We just keep giving away money until we are now in debt to well over trillions of dollars.  This isn't responsible and if I had the moxy to fight it, I would stop paying taxes completely and fight it out in court.

I have never met a rich person who marveled at the thought of investing 6% of their earning (profits) in our government.  You are the first.  Tee time is at 1500 hours.

wealthy ppl SHOULD be paying taxes, owing every year, and paying income tax every year, and they should be paying a lot more, to help pick up the slack so that poor ppl dont have to pay anything so maybe they could get ahead somewhat.  u know what sickens me even more than that tho?  we got all these pieces of c**p prisoners and ppl on death row to feed because our government hardly ever executes anyone!

I don't think it is so much the "rich" (which I am most definitely NOT) don't want to pay their fair share. I think what they object to (and rightfully so) is that no matter how much they pay... sometimes as much as 50% of their income, there are people who still don't think it is enough.

And judging by your other questions/answers, I seriously doubt you are rich... Just an observation... Maybe in spirit though (LOL).

I'm not rich, but my government thinks I am. They take almost half of my earnings away every year because they believe I don't need the money. If I were to become rich I would probably avoid paying any more taxes out of pure spite.

Well, because you consider a family of two making 80K a year rich. I pay too much in taxes and I work too hard to give it to some worthless slime that won't even pick up trash on the street for their money. I also remember the marriage penalty the democrats didn't want to get rid of and their promises not to raise my taxes. Same goes for George Bush senior. Read my lips, don't let the door hit you in the rear.

high income taxes and the capital gains tax are stopping folks from getting rich..taxes should be low and distributed so no one is paying to much. It's the high capital gains tax that stops me from selling stock and making a few extra bucks

I'm not rich- I Don't have a lot of money but from my experience it is the rich who keep folks like me employed...Lord knows the broke folks who don't pay their bills don't do me any favors. The last job I had ended becuse no one payed their bills.

So lets cut taxes especially capital gains taxes so you can form a company and put me on your pay role. So that I can pay taxes as well and make the money on the stock market and get rich.
