I had previously ran some anti virus scans that I think I may have deleted some start up settings or something because I start it up and it keeps logging me out. Before I, I was the only user and never logged into my computer, I would automatically just start into windows

  1. Reboot into safe mode (restart computer, hit F8 at boot screen, select start in safe mode option)

    Once logged in run your AV and ad/mal/spy-ware programs then.

    If critical files are in fact lost you can run Repair 'R' by running Windows XP install/recovery disc.
