I'm running an HDMI cable from my xbox to my audio receiver then another HDMI to my TV.....?

the problem is that every time i push a button on the xbox controller or move the joystick i get "noise" on the screen. is it my "Cheap" HDMI Cables or something else? Please help!!!

  1. With HDMI, you get what you pay for.  I would spring for a more expensive cable.  "Cheap" HDMI cables(under $50 for 4 feet)  have only 4 strands of copper on the inside and can't support as much bandwidth.  This is evidence by fuzziness in the image and brief losses in audio signal and quality.  A good cable will have 16 strands of copper and a silver coating to decrease electrical interference.


  2. why dont you connect the game systems directly to the tv with HDMI rather then go thru the reciever and see what happens
