  1. First off, they aren't dangerous and don't hurt...But I'd make 100% sure the nurse is using proper precautions (aka cleaning everything and using sterile and new equipment). Also, why the h**l do they want you to wear a thong? So they can just pull it to the side? This all doesn't seem quite right. Either way, if you HAVE to, don't be embarassed. Some old school nurse won't care what you look like down there. h**l, she will probably be jealous. The lady who did mine wasn't pretty. Good luck though. Don't worry.

  2. WHAT?!?!?!?!   No school can require that even for sports. Talk to your parents. Do NOT let the nurse do anything to you that you aren't comfortable with. Seriously, talk to your parents.

  3. OH NO, that can't be legal!!!!  What does a Pap Smear have to do with volleyball???  I wouldn't let anyone but my own doctor touch me.   Something is very wrong with your school.

  4. I'm pretty sure they cant make you have one.  Schools arent qualified to do such things.  what does she think she is a gynocologist.  Tell your mom about this - maybe she can call the school and complain.

  5. I never heard such a thing. I would NOT go along with this. Please contact  your family doctor, and ask him or her what they think. This procedure should only be done by a Dr. of gynecology. I have never heard of a nurse giving pap smears in a locker room, sounds sick. Please dont do it.  This is a very personal and serious exam. Also that school should be reported to the POLICE immediately. Please post the state your in and the name of the school so we can let everyone know about it.  GEES I cant believe it. CRAZIEST thing I ever heard

  6. you definately wouldnt need one to play volleyball. tell your parents. this is bogus

  7. First of all i have never heard of getting a pap smear for a sport. An Ekg maybe. anyway there is nothing to fear. It is more embarrassing than anything else but they usually know how to make you feel comfortable.

  8. I can't believe you are forced to have a Pap smear. What's your momma say about this?

  9. that's not right! they can't make you do that in school, esp a locker room! talk to your parents.

  10. WHAT!?!?!???!!!!!

Why would you need a pap smear for vollyball?

    Is this serious???

There is no way my daughter would be getting a pap smear in a school locker room so that she can play vollyball.

  11. If you're a virgin or have never had s*x, you can and should tell the nurse that you don't want a pap smear. Required to have one? And in the locker room even! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Only with your consent should a pap smear be done by your gynecologist (and not a nurse).

Let your parents know about this. If your school is endorsing this, it sure doesn't sound legal.

  12. Omg i have the same thing about to happen to me!! I'm on basketball and were required to have pap smears before competing

  13. This can't be real.  Or legal.  If you actually aren't some stupid kid making random **** up, please contact a lawyer about this.  I'm pretty sure your school can't make you get make you get a pap smear.

  14. no u dont have to have one

  15. I really doubt it's a pap smear. That can only be taken  up in those "stir ups" and a school nurse would never do that.

Are you sure it's not a urine drug test?

  16. A nurse cannot give you a pap smear at school. Sounds more like you're getting a physical and i would recommend wearing briefs and an undershirt. Also, there's nothing wrong with requesting privacy.

Also, have your parents signed a release form or discussed it with you? If not, then you should let them know right away so they can be there tomorrow while you're undergoing your physical to make sure it's legitimate.

  17. I'm pretty sure NOT!!  No one can force you to have a medical test against your will!!  There is no reason on the face of this earth that you would need a pap test for sports!!!

  18. something doesnt sound right
