I'm scared of breaking my glasses while snowboarding?

Question

I will snowboard for the very first time next week, and I'm very scared that I might break my glasses. Wearing my glasses is a "must" for me. I don't have time to order contact lense right now.

What do I do? Do I buy ski/snowboard goggle to protect my eyes? Wear it over my glasses?

I know I need to protect my eyes from the sunlight too, but I'm not sure what to do..

There are goggles that will go over the glasses.

the first year i went snowboarding i had glasses. the regular goggles were uncomfortablet to wear with my glasses. if you look around you can find googles for that specific purpose. i know for a fact that Big5 has them. i just bought some the other day =]

i've seen people wear them over their glasses.

if you go to your eye doctor, they usually have sample contact lenses which are the same as the kind you order, they can give you a pair to wear and you wont have to order them. just walk in and ask them for some and you will have them right away.

The best solution is try to get rid of the glasses and contact lens, there is a procedure called LASIK its 20-20 restoration which is available if you are interested you can do some research though it has a cost but its worth exploring.

Last time i was at my eye doctors i seen an advertisement for these sport sunglasses that you put your glasses into. They look like normal sport sun glasses but with your prescription glasses inside. I thought it was neat. Sport glasses usually stay quite good on your face and you can always get ones that have a strap and wear a tuque so they stay on.
