  1. just get over it.

  2. air travel is very safe, safer then driving.

  3. Don't worry I have flown many times. The most recent flight we had already started down the runway when the pilot said he was going to turn around because he felt a weird vibration. It turns out that we were having engine failure. I wound up with a 4 hour delay, but that is okay, I am alive! These guys really know what they are doing and trust me they don't want to die either, so you are as safe as can be. Flying is safer then driving in a car. You will be fine!

  4. It is true, driving to the airport is the most dangerous part.  Once you are up in the air, there is not much that can go too terribly wrong.  The FAA puts very VERY strict guidelines on how safe planes have to be, including regular maintenance checks.

Another thing that people don't realize is that pilots have been trained extensively in simulators and real planes on how to react to emergency situations.  And there are not too many emergency situations that are actually life threatening.  For example, even if all the engines were to shut off, the airplane is designed so that it can literally float for hours with out any power.

With all of the safety checks put in place by the FAA, and all of the safety features built into the plane (and there are a lot, I should know, I design them), the chances of anything going seriously wrong are almost non-existent.

  5. Chances are your not going to die.  If you are feeling anxious about flying, it's best to release those feeling right away before they grow and escalate.  Below is the basic releasing technique.

    BASIC RELEASING TECHNIQUE

    1. Welcome the uncomfortable feeling.  Feel it.

    2.  Ask yourself "Could I choose to let this feeling of _____ go?"

"Am I willing to let this feeling of _____ go?"

    "When?"

    3.  Take a deep, energizing breath and ask yourself "What am I feeling now?"

    4.  Notice if there is anything left of that feeling or if another uncomfortable feeling is there. Release that felling by repeating the process until all negative, uncomfortable feeling are gone and you are feeling i.e. happy, calm, peaceful, empty, nothing. etc.

    5.  Ask youself "Could I allow this feeling of i.e. happy, calm, peaceful, etc. to expand? *take deep breath*  And a little more? *take deep breath*  And a little more than that? *take deep breath*

I have expirenced anxiety too, and it's not fun.  The release technique has helped me get through some pretty difficult times in my life.  It works everytime, and when you still have some negative feeling, you just have to admit to yourself, "Yes, I am feeling uncomfortable now, and I've done all I can about it"  Sometimes you just have to throw up and go through it and wait for the uncomfortable feeling to pass.

I also know when my mind keeps  going and going and going, (a monkey mind) and when I'm having negative thoughts, it can be very agonizing.  But if I release, take deep breaths, and calm myself down, I can begin to feel better.

    With luck, love, and peace,

  6. It is going to be all right.

  7. well you can take your mind off flying by having a conversation with someone or listen to some music, anything that will take ur mind off your fear of flying

  8. its going to be all right...

  9. Just get smashed bafore you go.

  10. ahh. there notscary. and if ur in first class you enjoy the service so much that you dont remember your on a plane. ( at least thats the case for me) plane crashes and other accidents on a plane are very rare.

  11. you are more likely going to be killed in an auto accident on the way to the airport...so dont worry, if you make it on the plane you will be fine.

If something does happen I am in no way liable for my negligent statement.

just joking....im sure you will be fine. Just drink a lot before boarding, it will make it easier.
