  3. Please let me know how this goes for you! I have two comming through at the moment and i have a checkup on Monday to see if they will need to be taken out. I know they will because one is comming through on the side of my gum and besides my mouth is too small for other teeth!

Are you on private health cover? I have no idea how much it costs, im only on medicare so i think it would be very expensive. If your really scared i would recommend being knocked out for the procedure. I could think of nothing worse then having to watch them try yank out a tooth from your mouth, especially such a big, deep, hard to reach one.

When my ex-boyfriend had his taken out, all 4 at once, he was in pain for a week and his face swelled up like you wouldnt believe. I was also talking to this random guy who works at my local K-Mart and he was telling me that he'd had them taken out two weeks ago but he was still in a little bit of pain. But then i also have two friends that have had theirs out and yes it hurt but they got over it quickly. They said it just feels better once their gone.

I suppose having them out and having a bit of pain is better then not having them out, having them squish all your teeth together then having to get get them ripped out and then pay $6000 for braces.

    We can be scared together.

  4. When I had mine out i got put to sleep for it, dont remember anything.

I have assisted with many tooth extractions and  for sure being put to sleep is the best way to do it.  Dental surgeons taht specialize in removing teeth are also a better way to go.

If your regular dentist is doing it expect it to take up to 2 hours depending on where the wisdom teeth are/ curved roots / ability to access the teeth.

After just go home and relax  after biting on the gauze for an hour go take a nap! Cold packs (30 min on 30 min off) and Ibuprofen to keep the swelling and bruising down.

    :D

  5. How much money have you got?

You can arrange for an anthetist to put you to sleep - specialist surgeries in the suburbs do this - or you can go to a hospital - dentists work in operating theatres as well.

Ask your dentist - and who ever has to pay for it.

  6. ther's really nothing to be scared of the oral surgeons are the specialists in taking out these teeth and if you want to be put to sleep just let them know you won't feel a thing
