  1. When i first got my back tuck,, it didnt look like a tuck at all because of being scared of tucking in the air. My gymnastics trainer kept trying to give me tips.. [some of them were] when your flipping never think to much about it just go do it,, because if you do you will most like-ly you'll ''chickin out of it''. Another one was to just think like it was you in the matt (or ground),, in nothing was around you. The last one was to ''show off'' he said to think that you can tuck better then anyone else then back up your talking (thinking).

    Some of that stuff worked for me but what really got me to tuck was to believe that i could do it. I know just saying that isnt going to get you anywhere but it you think you can do it you can :] .

    <hope that helps>

  2. Practice tucking when you are not in the air.

    Go to a swimming pool and do your back somersaults but focus on becoming comfortable tucking in the water, not off the diving board. Meaning, in the water, tuck, untuck, tuck, untuck, over and over again until you are comfortable. Then when you are ready to jump, you go in to a tuck natural.

  3. You dont have to tuck... Just flip and pull your head back. At least thats what my friend does. Looks like he archs his back a lot then swings his feet around.
