I'm searching for a boxer w/ a name Fighting de guzman, champion of the orient,from Phillippines,between 1939 to 1941?

Try GMA or ABSCBN news archives. You have to present a letter regarding your research. They featured a boxer from that era once, he lives penniless in a hut with his wife, far from his former glory. The government has no support for ex-athletes whatsover, so expect no records from them. You can also try asking around Elorde or Sarreal boxing for info, maybe there are sons of boxers there who knows of the old champs.
