First off, I'm not really sure if it is indeed a psychological disorder or not...So I'm just checking. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Here is a list:

~ Anti-social behaviour and hostility combined with a false/unjustified and obsessed feeling of being threatened by total strangers

~Anger outbursts (almost always unexplainable), oversensitivity and edginess

~Slight depression and thoughts relating to death and/or suicide when one is disappointed

~A lack of common sense and a tendency to blame others (resembling projection, but not quite)

Thanks for your answers.

  1. I agree with the Borderline Personality Disorder but also sounds like Social Anxiety Disorder (anti social behavior and felling of being threatened by strangers) as far as anger outbursts, oversensitivity and edginess those are all symptoms of Bi Polar Disorder. Why limit yourself to just one?! You just described most people out there... including me :)

  2. Here is a pretty helpful site...you can also post questions there if you like (and also anonymously)....

    http://www.revolutionhealth.com/

It could be a number of different mental health conditions and I would suggest that you check out the site,...you may be able to find better answers there...it could be Bi-polar Disorder, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, OCD,....Sorry I couldn't give a better answer...hope the link helps!

  3. DSMIV Axis II Personality Disorder (NOS) with borderline and paranoid traits.  You could simply go with Borderline Personality Disorder.  The thinking appears "borderlinish" but  people with a borderline personality disorder vary  their relationships with others: not too close but not too far away either, sort of caught between a profound lack of confidence in their ability to be autononmous resulting in a strong need for others and and yet an intense resentment for other's ability to jeopardize their autonomous strivings.

There isn't enough information to consider an Axis I or the more severe possibilities (e.g., Deluisonal, Paranoid Schizophrenia). Nor is there enough information to consider an Affective Disorder (e.g., Bipolar), but "slight depression" and the resulting extreme "all black or white" reaction is characteristic of the immature borderline thinking.

  4. Well, there are several diagnoses which could be involved here:

    1.  Antisocial personality disorder.

    2.  Delusional  "            "

    3.  Paranoid Schizophrenia

    4.  Histrionic personality disorder

All the above have a list of criteria in which a certain number of symptoms need to be present in order to make a diagnosis.  However, if you are really interested in learning more, check out the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual (DSM IV) which is the holy book for Psychiatrists when making a formal diagnosis.  Be careful that you do not mis-use this information; it can be very damaging if not used with extreme care.
