Find an independent agent who has the big carriers.  Blue Cross, Golden Rule, Humana.  Get an HSA account plan.  It is made for the self employed.

Search health insurance and register on just one of the sites and you will be contacted.

You need to find a local, independent agent who can explain coverages and deductibles, etc., and find the balance that works for you.

With health insurance, you get what you pay for.  And these days, if you "buy online", you've got a really good chance of getting scammed.
