Thanks for the email. I have a client who is very much interested in

buying your vehicle. He happened to budget for a car last time and

unfortunately it was sold. I have discussed with him and he has agreed that

he will be willing to have the vehicle shipped to Canada upon reaching

an agreement with you.

Please I have Some Questions to Ask:

1) Is the engine in perfect condition?

2) How often do you service the Vehicle?

3) How many miles on the Vehicle now?

4) Are you the owner?

5) If yes, for how long did you use Vehicle?

6) Exterior and interior pics

7)Finally At what price are you willing to sell this

Vehicle to Us ...Bottom price.

N:B My phone is temporarily out of service, but it's being rectified as we speak.

I will be communicating with you via email now. Sorry for the inconveniences

this may cause you.

Regards,

George.

  1. Sounds like a scam to me. Don't take any checks have them pay thru paypal.

  2. guess it would depend on where you are selling it, are they going through proper channels?  I would say if they give you the money up-front, its not, if not, it probably is.

  3. Scam.

One of two things will probably happen:

    - He will want to pay with a fake but convincing cashier's check, which will take weeks to bounce. You'll lose your car, and get numerous bad check fees.

    - He will ask to have a third party in the states, that owes him more money than you're asking for the car, pay you directly with a fake but convincing cashier's check, which will take weeks to bounce, and would you please send him the extra money. You'll lose your car plus the extra money, and get numerous bad check fees.

  4. Definite scam. Do not deal with these people.

  5. First, you get cash in full.  Then they get the car and the title.  That way, there's no opportunity for you to get scammed.

  6. SCAMARO!!

When we say "get cash", we mean currency and coin.

Not many people realize that cashiers checks and money orders can be counterfeit, and 4 or 5 days later, your bank will figure it out and take the money right back outta your account.

I bet George is nowhere near North America;  my guess would be Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin or Burkina Faso.

If you have the headers from his e-mail you can track him down.

  7. Any out of country requests to buy a car with only email as a contact is a scam. This is fairly common by the way. Lot of stories like this floating around the web.

  8. Oh yes, this will be a scam. He will probably send you a check and ask that you cash it and send some of it to someone else to pay for transportation of the car. Then the bank will notify you after 2 or 3 weeks that the check is bad and have you pay them back for what they originally cashed the check for. Don't even respond to this person,
