I found most of these definitions but then my teacher went all cukoo on me at the last minute and said that i had to explain and define them. If you could simply explain all 3 definitions and write a 2-3 sentences each explaining the impact each defintion may have had on women through out history ( did it increase or decrease women's power and why), I would be soooo grateful. I will give an easy 10 points and answer all your questions!! Please help with this!

1. Gender roles

2. Suffrage

3. Right to own and inherit property

4. Arranged marriages

5. Emotional and physcial abuse

  2. you are so screwed

  3. Do your own homework, you might actually learn something in the process, stop being so lazy...

and you ask a similar questions in the friends section of ya!

  4. I would REALLY love to answer these questions for you, because I am all about "it takes a village to raise a child"... But I think you should go over this with your mom, grandmother, aunt, or older female family friend... Ask how these terms and statements affected them, that my dear will give you plenty of answers for all five.

Sorry sweetie, I know thats not what you were looking for. But this generation really needs to connect back to family... Peace and Love.

  5. do your homework!

  6. First of all hon  you can't give out 10pts for the best answer. Secondly, you need to do your home work. Good Luck

  7. Suffrage: what women went through in the 1700 and 1800 hundreds. This is where the woman's place was in the home barefoot and pg and had no say in what her husband did or chose to do. She could not speak out against other ppl in the towns/cities, nor Against any form of govt. They could not hold any elected positions nor could they vote in any election for any reason.

In the 17 and 1800's woman were not allowed to own or inherit property anywhere, home/land ownership was to be given to the first born son.

Arranged marriages: the parents pick you the person their daughters were going to marry. It didn't matter that they did not know this person nor that they didn't love them. Usually a dowry was given to the perspective groom to encourage him to marry their daughter. (in some countries this is still pracited)

  8. Are you serious?!?!?!?!?
