I'm seriously looking into permanent hair removal of my underarms, is laser as effective as electrolysis?

I've read up on places in my area (Philadelphia) all in all, the laser treatments don't sound too bad, time and price wise, but i'm confused, are they REALLY permanent or is electrolysis my best bet? i\If anyone has had either of these done (preferably on underarms) iIde love to hear about your experiences.

ive heard differentthings about laser. more so with sensitive skin it seems to be a hassle, apparently it is kind of like a burning sensation. electrolysis however, is still a little tingle, but mostly annoying. the only downside to either of these is that it does take a long time, electrolysis usually around 8 - 12 months if the hair is minimal to moderate, more hair = more time
