I came back from a funeral yesterday and ever since, I've been very light-headed and tired. This morning, after taking some aspirin the night before, I felt better but when I got up and started walking around, the feeling came back. I vomited at least three times- everything I had eaten yesterday and this morning came back out. The third time I regurgitated, there was no food but only green fluids. I just took some more aspirin but am afraid to eat anything because I may regurgitate again. Does anyone know what I have and is it serious? (I'm in bed trying to get as much rest as I can). Thank you.

  1. Looks like you've picked up a bug. Ginger ale will help if you have it, Drink plenty of fluids. If you have any antibiotic's on hand it would probably help to take them.

  2. Yes, it sounds like a stomach flu. Stop taking aspirin because it is irritating your stomach! Don't eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes after vomiting. Then take 1 tablespoon of water every 5 minutes, until you can hold it down. If you start to vomit again start over. If you develop a fever or if you have diarrhea you need to contact your doctor so that you don't become dehydrated.

BTW...the green stuff is bile because there is nothing left in your stomach to vomit.

  3. FLU? go to the doctor.

  4. flu maybe food poisoning only thing to do is ride it out
