I would like to try and set up a protest to see if we the people can make a change. We are payin ridiculous amounts of money just to drive our own vehicles. My idea is to get so many people to pull up at a gas station nearest you and park your car in front of a pump. To get enough people to do this and not move your vehicle. There may be some consequences but i dont know. But if every gas station in the town was blocked up and no one moved im sure it would make television. Its a start but maybe thats not a good idea if any one has another idea i would love to hear it. Lets make this thing work we are the only ones wh can make a change we have to start somewhere. Or they will keep on raping us.

  1. You are blaming the wrong people and your outrage is misplaced. If you need someone to blame then go park your guzzler in front of the Chinese embassy. Or you could blame your neighbors for driving fuel-inefficient vehicles. You could also blame them (and yourself) for buying all of those foreign cars and big-screen TVs that then drive down the value of a dollar on the foreign exchange causing oil to go up in dollar terms.

If you think that the price is too high just maybe you shouldn't buy any. It's not like anyone is forcing you to buy gas. You don't have a god-given right to $1.59 gas to fuel up the SUV.

    You haven't thought this through.

  2. I would love to find a way to protest, but it isn't going to do any good to blame the gas stations.  They are only doing what they are told.  Unfortunatly I am not one of those who can simply choose not to buy gas because I live 20 miles from my job.  And no, I can't move closer because rent anywhere else is double what I am paying now.  I only use gas when going to work now, I don't even visit firends or relatives in the next town which is only 10 miles away.  There has to be something that we can do to protest this.  It is all about the oil companies and their fat profits.  It's just not fair.

  3. I would so protest with you...these prices are getting out of hand and its pissing everybody off!

  4. How long do you think you would last sitting in front of a gas pump to block it? Maybe that is what it would take to put a stop to your type. We have enough problems without morons making matters worse. You are the same person who would try to block the road to the oil wells.

  5. i am willing but now you are asking some yahoo people who have went yahoo

  6. So you are going to punish somebody (the small businessman who owns a gas station) for something he has no control over?

Maybe you should take an economics class so you can learn why the price of oil is going up.  (Hint: the rising price of oil is because of the fact that countries like India and China are demanding more of the stuff but the supply is fixed.)

  7. april 28 there is a convoy of citizens and drivers to Washington DC to prostest the high cost of fuel

  8. Cry me a river

  9. Bend over buddy.  You aint seen nothin yet.

  10. It's not the gas stations fault. That's where people are getting it all wrong. The gas station suffers the most because they want business in the store, not just at the pump. The more spent on gas they get stuck with rotting inventory. A convenience stores main draw is the cash they get from you making purchases inside, not pumping gas.

So they are not raping you it's oil industry raping you. And as long as we have to go to work and buy food to survive you might just need to suck it up and deal with it. Protesting is not going to get you anywhere.

The thing that might help is us cutting back on vacations, plane trips, and luxury driving (going out to eat, etc.). It sucks we can't have fun anymore but right now that's the only way for us to fight these oil companies. It's supply and demand. We aren't the only country causing this either. If you think it's bad here then go to Europe and you will get a real wake up call. You probably wouldn't be complaining so much.
