I dyed my hair blonde (i'm naturally a medium brown) and i really like it blonde because it felt so boring brown. but my hair grows pretty fast and i always have to dye my hair again and i'm afraid to dye just the roots because what if it comes out a different color than the rest of my hair, yknow? when i dye all of my hair it turns out well... but i dont want to damage my hair so much! is there any products i can use to help keep my hair healthy? i use herbel essences long-term relationship split end cream after i shower and i straighten my hair every weekday and soem weekends but i use a protecting spray (V05 heat defense) and i wash my hair every other day, i always condition it. how do i keep my hair healthy? i have very thick long hair and i love it and i dont want it to become brittle and horrible. i also try to get trims regularly but how often should i trim my hair?

  1. just dont dye your hair.

  2. wow

  3. you really need to condition your hair a lot

esp if you are coloring and using any heat product

i dont color or use any heat on my hair and i still have to condition my hair twice a week.

  4. use a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, it helps keep your hair less dry and preserves your color. and the john friends color enhaning blond expression thing could help your roots and keep your color more even, it will also leave it shiny.

  5. i'm not sure what to do bout the hair dying prob but you shouldn't straighten ur hair every day. even tho u use protection spray (no matter how good or how expensive it was) it doesn't stop your hair drying out long term. if u keep on doin this when ur older your gonna have dry split ended hair, which aint good!! you shoud stop dying your hair too. leave it too grow out whilst still getting it trimmed every 5-6 weeks. im sure your hair is nice without it being blonde!!

  6. You shouldn't dye your hair no matter what there isn't a product that can stop you damaging your hair because it will show in your older stages if you want lovely locks then STOP dying your hair you will just have to live with your medium brown hair because that's how you where born either have it or have no hair at all ^^

  7. Maybe instead of dying your hair completely blonde, you could put blonde highlights in it.  Highlighting usually does not have to be done as often as dying.  I think it is because they blend in better.  Hope that helps.

  8. well the only thing i can think of is do reverse highlights... take a hair dye the same color as your natural one, and heavily streak your hair so the roots will look normal.  good luck

i was told to get mine trimed every 6 to 8 weeks

  9. ok first off. get some carmel and light brown high lights

so your roots wont look so bad. second of all use a deep

conditioner once a week that you leave in for ten minutes before you

wash it off. leave in conditioner when you arent using that just a small amount so it wont look greasy. ALWAYS use a protectant spray on your hair. trust me on that one. get a trim about once a month if you can and every other month tell your stylist to take off your dead ends.

you can also wash your hair everyday cause i do. just use shampoo for blondes like john frieda

  10. i think u've got the whole conditioning stage down - i have thick hair and wash my hair only about 2 or 3 times a week with shampoo - the shampoo can have harmful chemicals in it that damages ur hair. so i would recommend not always shampooing your hair - just condition it.

  11. you should go to a beauty salon and ask them.

  12. trim it and do blonde on the bottom and black up on the top.

  13. just dont dye ur hair for a while....maybe ull like to hav it a natural color for a little while and then dye it again later................

  14. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is fabulous.  Use it every time you shampoo, and it should really help.

If you are tired of dying your hair, you might consider dying it a couple of shades darker each time and when it is very close to your natural color, let it all grow off.  Then instead of dying it, have highlights put in. Much the same effect, but lots less maintenence, and less overall damage to your hair.

You should have your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks.

  15. It sounds like you are taking great care of your hair. I use that hair dye to. except I use a different color. It sounds like you are using everything correctly and instead of straightening your hair every day through the week. If your hair is long enough. I would wear it up or soemthing. so you didnt damage it even more by straightening it everyday.

  16. Every so often, Put lots of conditioner in your hair and leave it in for a few hours.

It revitalises your hair and leaves it healthy and nutritious.

    Hope I Helped, X.

  17. You should trim your hair every 4-6 weeks. A deep Conditioner can give your hair protein (If you use the right type.), and will help repair the damage. Don't straighten your hair, even with heat protector, It can damage your hair..It is fine to straighten your hair at night, and then keep it straight for a day or two. If you go to a professional, and not color your hair yourself, It won't turn a different color..It's called a 'Root touch up'.

  18. Wow. You are totally ruining your hair.

Make sure to do a deep conditioning treatment once a week. Try and straighten it less. If you are willing to, stop dying it. And you should get it trimmed once a month, at least.

    I hope this helps!

  19. that is a lot of damage to be doing to your hair...you should trim every 2 weeks....
