every single day the c**p rises 10 cents geez...

should i just buy a hybrid car?

Ride a bicycle.  Best form of transportation there is.

Invest in a scooter, motorcycle, or a hybrid car.

Limit your trips, drive slower, car pool.

Read up on hypermiling techniques.  I have increased my miles per gallon with just a few changes in my driving habits.  

Remember, prices will only go up.  Best to make the changes now.

Hybrid cars mostly not worth the extra cost,   give it a few more years.

Drive for economy,   don't idle.  

And quit paying for c**p,  you can make your own cheaper!

personally hybrid cars are not worth it. its about 20,000 more than a normal car. and with all that extra money spent, why not put it towards gas? i suggest a bike, seriously. it's healthy, no gas involved, and a bit faster in traffic jams.

Stop complaining! Gas is 4.09 here in good 'ol Clovis, Ca! I think everything will become hybrid. my car get 30/mpg so I'm not hurting nearly as bad as truck drivers! :) but you know what, gas is actually cheaper now than it was in the 60's (I THINK it's the 60's...?) because of how much a dollar goes. it may have only been .30, but they only made 1.00 an hour. SO we are just big complainers! Lol

Ride a bike, car pool to work with fellow workers, if possible, move to a central location that reduces the amount of driving you have to do.

Weather permitting you can drive a small motorcycle, or scooter, some get up to 100 mpg.

Use a bike for commuting and short trips. Save the car for longer trips. Use mass transit.

In my opinion, the two worst inventions of the 20th century are the television and the mass-produced automobile. I can't think of two inventions that have turned us Americans into a bunch of half-educated, isolated, lazy slobs. The car is responsible for the eyesores of suburbia such as strip malls. And it is responsible for pollution.

We Americans are overdue for a severe re-adjustment in our lifestyles.

Get active in politics and help vote out the morons that are allowing the Federal Reserve to inflate the currency.

As long as they keep printing fake dollars the value of the dollar will keep dropping and gas, along with everything else, will keep increasing in price.

My suggestion is to start drawing up plans to convert your car to steam power. You can burn dollar bills for the heat and probably get more mileage that way.

this is the price people in the rest of the world have been paying for quite some time now. in fact most of the world pays more than 5 $ a gallon!
