I'm just so afraid of dying i'm 13 btw. All i can think about is every second i'm getting closer to death, I just can't take it. I can't stand that i'll have to leave all this behind my parents my cats my family this world! I wouldn't say i'm religious but I think there is a god. I'm just so scared that when I die I wont remember anything. I think about it all day I try to stop thinking about it and putting the thoughts aside but I can't and I freak out and cry I don't know what to do.

  1. well if u think your going to die soon just try to live life too the fullness like if its your last day of living wut would u do not cry, go out have fun with the ones u love

    any questions write to me

  2. In death is peace, In death is what you know and love and in death there is comfort so do not fear death but see it as a new beginning to something that never ends.

Enjoy what you do have when it lasts and be happy when you look back at memories you already have the joy of experiencing.

  3. Honey, have you shared these thoughts and feelings with your parents, a school counselor or anyone? You need to. The focus you are placing on dying and death is beyond what we normally give these thoughts. You may have a clinical anxiety that can only be helped through emotional/mental health profession. To need help like that doesn't mean you are crazy. Sometimes we simply have a lazy neurotransmitter not firing at the proper sequence, not hitting the receptor site etc. or the level of serotonin or another natural chemical or hormone in our brain may be under dosing. Don't keep a secret and suffer like you feel, because you can be helped to refocus. Also if God is in charge and I think he is, you don't need to be afraid. God's favorite people are kids. And God has the most incredible mercy and kindness. He wants all of us to lead happy fulfilled lives. What you are going through, isn't what God wants for you or how God wants you to think of death. So what ever is going on, God would deffinitely want you to be able to feel better and to trust in the longevity of life and though some of us have shorter lives, not to predict that your number is up. You can't know honey. You could live in this world to be 100. Whats even more important, God has a plan and it is always wonderful. Death is not horrible, its just a phase in the great over-all plan. If you ever had surgery and they put you under anesthetic that made you go into deep sleep, you didn't miss anyone. I think that is how death is until we all wake up and go with each other to heaven. Any way, I can't help you more than that except to ask you to please tell someone who can get  some help for you so you can be free from such terrible anxiety and live a happy life, like a kid is entitled to.

  4. Think of it this way. Yes there will be the time where your life ends and you do die. If you fear losing the ones you love and cats and stuff think that when they pass away they will also be waiting for you. I know its scary thinking that your gonna die and that every minute spent is just deducted from your total life span! Believe me you never know when your time will come so just enjoy your life and thank God that he blessed you with such great parents. Also don't forget we will all be in heaven so don't think as death as the end, think it as a new beginning because we will be partying in paradise when we pass away!

    God Bless,

    Amanda

  5. The truth is that everyone is afraid of dying, but all that is born to this world also dies to this world its part of a natural process.

Instead of focussing on death and dying think about all of the things that you are grateful for, your parents, family, friends, school, sports, parties, etc.  Write a list everyday of what makes you feel glad and keep it in mind the things that you are grateful for as you go about your day.

  6. first off its not uncommon to fear death, who wants to know someday you will be dead right, but life's a process.. you are born, you live, and then you die, i know its scary but you should instead live life happily now that you are on this planet, because there is nothing better than living a good life, you won't have any regrets...and i'm sure you have plenty long years ahead of you:).

  7. what do you think you are going to die from

  8. Everyone fears death, even the strongest people you know.

I get really sad and really scared sometimes too, usually when I'm alone. I've found that forcing myself to keep my chin up and to refuse to let the fear get me down actually gives me a strength I couldn't have imagined, and it is sort of a fuel that I use to live life to the fullest.

That's not to say I never get scared, I think that's inevitable, but you can become better able to deal with it by not letting the fear control you.

here's some good quotes about death:

We cannot banish dangers, but we can banish fears. We must not demean life by standing in awe of death.

    David Sarnoff

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.

    Mark Twain

The overwhelming power of death is meant solely to inspire

  9. pretend your fearless and that you laugh in the face of death.

  10. I thinks it's normal. It's part of human life. I freak out to. Usually when I'm laying in bed at night. Sometimes it gets so bad that I have to turn on the tv or listen to music to distract myself. But look at it in a more positive way. That you don't want to die because you love what you have. That's a good thing.  But I say if it starts interfering with your life. Like you don't go out anymore and you feel extremely depressed than you should see a counselor.

  11. Aw man...I have these same exact thoughts.  Ever since I was like 10 and now I'm 15.  They come and go for me.  I remember like just 2 months ago, I would be laying there trying to go to sleep and I had those thoughts and I would start crying and than have an anxiety attack.

This sort of helps.  Just think that you are going to live forever.  That your life will start over again when you die and you can change any mistakes that you made in the previous life.

I think mostly everyone has these thoughts and it's scary to think about it.  Even my mom had these thoughts when she was my age.  But when you get older, you don't really think too much about it.

I remember when I first heard about the 2012 thing.  I had so many anxiety attacks thinking of it.  But when I finally got enough research done, I found out it was the biggest load of c**p ever.  That it was really blown out of proportion.

I know you don't want to leave the earth and leave everything behind but you have to remember, you are only 13.  You are still young.  You didn't even live a quarter of your life yet!  You aren't going anywhere anytime soon.  Nothing is going to happen.  You will live until your old age and by that time you might have the thought that you are ready to leave.  But as of now, enjoy life to the fullest!  And just hope there is a heaven.

I mean, if you hear about all the ghost stuff and how many witnesses there are, you will still be here.  We are spiritual creatures and these bodies are only temporary.  You'll be fine.  Don't worry about it so much!

Also, I watched this thing on TV that we only fear death because we don't know what is after this.  We all move onto another life of sometime but we don't really know.  But no matter what, you will be reunited with your family and pets!

  12. It is something we all think about, usually as you get older this sounds like you need to confide in someone a friend a parent or doctor. it really is not Worth getting in to a state about as there is nothing you can do to prevent it and who wants to spend the rest of there life miserable.

  13. well kid you could either worry about it or not. i say don't because your gonna die regardless.

  14. im sorry! dont worry about it! you are not very the tiniest bit close to death! you have like 80 years still! dieing cant be helped it happens to everyone dont dont worry about it. when you do die it will be a wonderful place. you will have no more worries or fear and it will be a place of pure bliss and happiness where all your questions will be answered and all your fears and worries will be taken away! here read about it for youreslf! understanding it will help you be less afraid.

but you also have to take your mind off things, get into sports, discover a hobby, go out will your friends! you probably have to much time on your hands which means too much time to think. you need to get out and keep your mind busy. once you have stuff to do you wont be thinking of that as much! i know it may seem hard now but understanding and keeping busy is the key. you also may have obbsesive complulsive disorder, in which case once you have something ony our mind you cant get it out and just keep thinking of it constantly and it gets worse and worse as time goes on... so take you mind offf it now be4 it gets any worse! if things ever get really tough im me on aim, im honeypup707 of email me at honeypup707@yahoo.com and we can talk if you need it! my best wishes to you!

  15. Did you know Necrophobia or fear of death is one of the the most common phobias? You're not alone. I would seek out counseling. I try not to think about death, we all gonna die someday. This may sound weird but the process of dying freaks me out more than death itself.

  16. I went through that phase at about the same age. all i can say is try not to think about it.
