I'm so confused on eBay shipping, how does it work?!?

OK, I am mailing out a regular coach handbag so, what do I chose, Parcel Post, priority mail, etc. I mean what difference does it make? I still pay the same prices right? Someone help me what I chose or how I calculate the prices. Thanks!!

In addition to USPS shipping services, there are UPS and FedEx and DHL services you may want to check out. However, I find USPS to be easier, especially for a purse.

Go to http://postcalc.usps.gov to calculate shipment for USPS services. Priority is most expensive, than Parcel Post, then First Class Mail (under 13oz). Depending on the purse size, it may fit for FCM, but weight it to be sure.

To package, you'll probably want to first wrap it in its dustbag if there is one, or some sort of padding, and put it in a Tyvek envelope or appropriate shipping box (boxes add quite a few more ounces to the weight). After you sell on eBay and if you are paid through PayPal, try to take advantage of the fact that you can print all sorts of shipping labels through PayPal, and save time. I would recommend this because rather than make a trip to the post office, you can just put your package (if it fits) in the mail box, or give it to your postal carrier.

You can get shipping supplies through USPS online, I'm not sure at the store, and they're free for Priority Mail.
