I was diagnosed with narcolepsy a few years ago and due to a change in insurance I can't get my normal prescriptions anymore. Other than iron, B12 and of course more sleep. . .what else can I do/get that'll make me feel less tired during the day? I'm tired of being drowsy at work, while driving, in class. . . . . .

  1. anabolic xtreme

  2. If you have narcolepsy, no treatment other than your prescription meds will work.   Caffiene, sleep, vitamins etc will do nothing for narcolepsy.

Cut back on other expenses and pay for the meds yourself if you don't have insurance.

  3. try the energy drinks , also If you go to your pharmacy ask them

what can give you a energy boost and keep you awake, I drank

lots of energy drinks when I was on medication that would put me to sleeep.

  4. The most popular natural energy boosters are B-12, Royal Jelly (and other bee-based products), L-Carnitine, Ribose, Ginseng, Guarana and Green Tea (both are natural sources of caffeine). Another great option for energy on a regular basis is exercise... even if it's a brisk walk, lifting weights, or a quick jog around the building during your break.

Coffee and sugar are only good for quick boosts, but you'll typically crash shortly after, so that wouldn't help your case as well... you may want to stay away from them unless you're driving and tired at the time or something (to get you to your destination). On a regular basis, you'd be best off with one of the products I mentioned or exercise because they work with your natural energy.

  5. Red bull.Starbucks.
