ok... here's the deal.

College starts on August 25 for me and I'm currently working as a receptionist at a law firm.

My hours for school are way crazy (mon and wed. mornings from 10-3ish and tuesday and thursday evenings from 4-7ish.)

I've tried job searching, applying etc but ughh!!! Ths job I have right now won't work with my schooling because I'll get way behind on my work (job work not school work) and I'm already stressed out as it is right now.

Any advice??

My friends jsut had babies but they say they are too young and don't want a sitter..I don'tknow what to do.

  1. You never said why you need a job.  Most lenders will allow you to borrow enough money to cover tuition, books, transportation, and food costs while you're in college.  You are paying to be in college, so you should learn all you can before you graduate.  That said, it really sucks to graduate with a lot of student loans, but a part-time job may not lower these loans enough to be worth the distractions.  Unfortunately the days of being able to pay your own way through college with personal savings and part time jobs instead of loans seem to be gone.

  2. Get a job at your college. Colleges will pay you if you work on the campus. You could be a tour guide, librarian, Residential Advisor, work at the bookstore, food places, etc.

There is also office type work you can do.

Call the school soon, and ask for applications. They should help you and work around your schedule.

    Good luck!
