Hi, I'm having so much trouble with picking the right makeup for myself. I usually wear Ivory colored makeup by trublend cover girl and some phy. Formula cover sticks in light. under it. I have really bad acne scars still(But they are going away little by little over the past few years) My problem is my makeup rubs off! And it changes colors after a couple hours of having it on my face. I even apply loose powder with a brush and it still comes off within 4-6 hours. Making me look terrible. And another thing is I'm pretty much afraid of going into the mall without any makeup on to ask any makeup people to help. What makeup is easy to apply and stays on for at least 6-8 hours?

  1. MAC makeup will stay on your face through a hurricane, you have to take that stuff off to get it off, it has great coverage and the color stays the same, downside to it is that it is pricey and if your skin is prone to breakouts it wont help you there.. Loreal true match is a great, more economic solution and it really blends so well i really would say you're guaranteed to make a color work for you... as far as makeup staying on a long time remember that you get what you pay for and also remember that what helps your makeup stay on longer are the animal byproducts in it which are oily... my best advice: reapplication is key... good luck hope i helped...

  2. you have an oily skin type.the natural oils from your skin cause your makeup to come off. lately, i've been using the covergirl smoothers collection. i have oily skin as well, and it stays on great all day and it hydrates the skin, which makes the oil production slow down a ton. i use the concealer in light, and i used to use the liquid foundation in light as well (i stopped because i'm trying not to wear foundation because my pores are very clogged and they need a chance to unclog themselves. not to suggest it clogs pores.) they stay on until you wash them off and look great.

also, i like almay's collection of concealers and foundations for oily skin, because they actually dry up the oil, so it stays on really nicely.

    good luck!

  3. Well it hard to tell what your skin tone is without a picture.  You are going to have to go in and get matched.  People really are not going to pay attention to your scars.  Now foundation is super easy to apply, I would suggest using a foundation brush, that makes the application easier.  I am not sure what your price range is so I would suggest a long wearing foundation formulated for an oily skin.  I love Estee Lauder, Double Wear

If you want something that is less expensive, I might try this by L'Oreal

Remember foundation is made to even out skin tone, if your using a foundation to hide your scars it is not formulated to do that, if you need a corrective makeup.  I would suggest Dermablend

  4. ya i have oily skin too

and it rly does sux because we're the ones that need

to wear foundations but the oils in our skin break it up!!!

ya kinda a crappy deal but w-e

okkkk before putting any makeup on invest in a good face primer

put it on and it makes make up go on smoothly and stay on longer

also have some little compact you can carry in ur bag thats quick to

pat on your face if you'll be out for a long time

not something that requires stopping and sponges or brushes...etc

i've never tried it but i've heard spraying on some toner

throughout the day keeps makeup looking fresh so ya why not try
