Tomorrow the A Level exam results are out, and we have to go to the school to collect them. I know this is going to sound stupid but I generally am so scared, and It's not just the fact that Im scared I haven't done well, but mostly Im scared about actually going to the school. I only moved there recently and don't have any friends there. I really do have no confidence what so ever and Im scared cause all the teachers will be there and it will be so intimidating and also I don't know what to wear! To make it worse the school isn't in my town so I'll have to get the train there which gives me more time to worry and I haven't even got a friend or anyone to go with me cause my best friend is away on holiday.

Please help!! Oh I wish I was confident!

  1. oh come on get a grip whats the matter with you, if you don't stop being so daft you are going to end up a right nutter oh like anyone there will give a f***k what your wearing people will be to wrapped up with there results and saying good bye to be bothered to look you up and down.

you are not the be all you think you are just put a smile on your face and folk will think who's that nice young lady the world is at your feet welcome to the adult world please don't start giving your self hang ups before you even started

  2. dont wrorry about it ,just b yourself and u might make some friends while your there.

  3. When you get on that train, focus in on your breathing. Sounds silly and simple. But it really works for me. With every inhale envision breathing in "plus" signs. Breathe out "minus" signs. Tell your breath to slow down.

Lay your clothes out the night before so you'll be prepared when you get up. Eat something, too.

Remind yourself this: What's the worst thing that can really happen? I wish you the best.

  4. Call the school and say your sick, they'll post them to you or send a friend or relative.

  5. Hey,

Be proud of yourself, if you survived your a-level years with these people then one more day won't hurt. Usually so many people are buzzing about that you could probably slip in and out without having to interact much. You may never see those people again anyway now that your A-levels are over.

You don't have to stay and open your results infront of people. If they ask you to tell them your family wants you to open it with them and leave.

Try to take deep breaths and relax. Listen to music on the train to help you feel abit more calm. If you really can't face it perhaps you could ask your mum/dad to go in and get them for you or as someone else suggested, wait until they are posted, but that just might make you feel very anxious about wanting to know your results.

Try and think clearly and ask yourself whats worrying you and ask yourself is it worth worrying about. You have as much right to be there as anyone and hold your head up high.

maybe another wee stress releaving tip would be to put something in your pocket that you could hold or clutch onto when your feeling really nervous, it may divert your nervous enegry abit.

Hope this helps and i wish you all the best of luck in your results!

  6. aawww hun, just wear something casual. jeans and a top and don't worry. all you have to do is get your results and go. can't 1 of your parents go with you? take some music with you for the journey to take your mind off it and before you go to bed have some hot choclate. don't worry too much. i'm sure you've done great. =) p.s. above they say they post them but just go. it will do you good and the experience will be nice too.  ;-)

  7. The school post the results the same day if you don't collect them =]

  8. Think about it as if you are going shopping on your own. You're simply going to collect something that they had to order in for you. Wear what you feel comfortable in, and when you get there, get your results, smile at people in a friendly but non committal way. And don't open them at the school. That way you won't have to discuss them with anyone.

Most of all, remember that everyone will be excited and thinking about themselves, not you. And the staff will be dealing with the loudest celebraters and those who are crying. Don't do either and you will be able to slip in and out without any fuss.

If it's really unbearable, ring the school in the morning and ask them to post them to you. I moved away between my exams and results, and I had mine posted out to me.

  9. They would have your address. So if they ring up and ask you why you didn't turn up to get your results then i would just say that you went  to a friends house for the day and that it slipped your mind about when you had to go and get your results from the school!

  10. Seriously, don't worry. When you're on the train, listen to some relaxing music and take deep breaths. It's best if you are relaxed when you get the results. There is nothing to worry about. Chill.

Relax, have a good day, Nat :)

  11. im shittin meself 2; i got my gcse results next thursday but u just gotta get on wiv it
