I'm staioned in yokosuka, Japan and my daughther will be three in december....?

I was wondering if anybody knows of any good preschools or child care to take her to, because the wait on base is too long and I want her to be around kids instead of being home all day..please help thanks, also include prices and any websites that I can visit!

  1. NAEYC is the voluntary accrediting agency here in the states.  Their web site can help you find a local school, click on "global alliance".  They also have information about what to look for and what questions to ask when you make a visit.

  3. Well, youre correct about the wait! Im a preschool teacher at the elementary school there!  Coop is pretty much a waiting list and CDC slots maybe limited... try off base Kindergarten.  You child pick up some Japanese.  Kurihama Kindergarten is a good one!!!  There is also a Catholic Kindergarten right outside base.  Good Luck!!!
