I'm going to be a freshman and I'm going to a high school I wasn't planning on going to. Totally different. It's bigger, and I don't really know anyone. :(

I need tips please!

  1. awww congratulations!

its all good though i was there too last year and itll be finee!

the bigger the better i say... that way you have more opportunities of meeting people you get along with.

    much luck to you loveee

  2. join sports and clubs. it's a great way to get to know people.

and don't block the hallways or all the older grades will hate you.

  3. Youll be fine! Dont stress it silly, i remember i was nervous starting HS and then after the first few days i was like what the h**l was i so nervous about?!? Just be friendly and outgoing and im sure you will make friends in no time. Choose nice people to hang out with, dont get involved with a bunch of losers, that was my mistake. Youll be okay hun, good luck and have fun!

Oh BTW seniors will not hate you unless you give them a reason to, im sure youll meet some nice ones! I was friends with a bunch when i was a freshman :)

  4. you'll be fine dont worry!

do a sport, and a club!

be yourself and everything will be fine.

i know this sounds nerdy but do your homework and keep up in classes, hs is when grades count!

you should make friends in no timee!

    good luck!!

  5. well i just entered college so i can relate

when i went to high school i didnt kno anyone

my one and only tip: be extremely outgoing

    ppl love outgoing people

  6. You'll be fine.  A week from now you'll be laughing at yourself for being nervous.  Have fun and Good Luck!

  7. okay first of all you need to know to just be yourself. honestly the first day of high school everyone judges the freshman together. sometimes we love them sometimes we hate them. just be cool and nice and not annoying. when i was a freshman we were lucky our high school loved our freshman group, but this year we hate them! the only reason is because they think that they rule the school and that they are so cool and there not they are s****. and bratty and annoying so we hate them. oops sorry not trying to scare you but all you need to do is be yourself and you will be perfectly loved by the upper age. trust me even though we hate most freshman we loooooove some of them, the ones who are themselves and try not to be the coolest person ever just be themselves whether its dorky or funny or silly we love them cause we know they are not fake and trust me we can tell so just be yourself and you will be fine. good luck and just have fun try not to stress it to much that makes it worst and when you get there you will find it is so much easier than you think. have fun!!!

  8. I know its hard going to a new school and not knowing anyone.  Just try to be nice and friendly, but most of all be yourself (that's how you'll find true friends, and it will take time, don't worry).  I had a lot of friends freshman year, but no best friends until the end of the year.  If you are in a new class or at lunch and its awkward, just introduce yourself to someone who looks like they are in your position, they're probably feeling the same as you and will appreciate someone wanting to talk to them. I know it's long, but I hope it helps.  Good luck!

  9. dont stress. introduce youself to everyone u meet. if there is someone in your first class that looks nice just walk right up and say hi. everybody makes friends so dont worry. is there anyone thatu kind of know?? i so than say hi and ask how their first day is going. they are prob scared too. goodluck and dont worry =)

  10. See if you can get your schedule and maybe take a run through to see where classes are before school starts.  That way, you'll feel more comfortable with the building.

Do some nice things to get ready for you big day like primping.  You can get you hair cut, paint your nails, do a face mask, whiten your teeth, and pick out things to wear on the first few days.  Buy new cute school supplies, and figure out if/how you want to decorate your locker.

When you are actually at school, don't act nervous; just smile a lot and act friendly.  If you don't know your way around, ask someone, and introduce yourself.  Don't worry about cliques, etc. because chances are, there are lots of new freshman, and groups haven't formed yet.  Just be confident and friendly, and don't forget to impress your teachers a little; it always helps come reportcard time.
