  2. Hi ,

It depends on what type of baby you will foster, boys or girls and how old they will be new born or toddlers, preteens or teens.  There is a lot of things you will need, but you first have to know all the other stuff first.  So first find out what kind and how old the child or children will be and go from there.  Baby's need formula and diapers and wipes, bottles and stuff like that.  Are the children in good health or poor health some many things to remember and so much more to know, I am not trying to scare you away from fostering kids, and think that is this most unselfish thing any person can do for others and my heart and blessing go out to you and yours to have a successful and stress-free fostering home.  Good luck and take it in stride and you should be fine.  Oh yea the one thing that all mothers even foster mothers need, is love and understanding for the needs of her children and their friends.

I know I didn't really answer your question, but no one can until you know the children that will come to stay with you.

Again good luck God Bless and take care....Keep the Faith....PEACE....cya....

  3. A foster parent license, a home study to evaluate whether or not your home is appropriate for children not belonging to you to live in. once you have done everything legally then you'll need children, lots of food and activities planned daily to prevent them from being bored.

  4. Love. Specifically, unconditional love. I remember being in some foster homes that were pure h**l, but the good ones were where you were treated with respect, kindness and love. These kids are going to be afraid, and will react in different ways, many of them not good. Remember to be patient and loving.

  5. How about a study/learning/enrichment area--kind of like a rec room but with educational stuff as opposed to mindless nonsense.

  6. First, check with your local foster home agency, or the closest one to you.  You and your husband have to attend so many hours of training before you can begin.  Then you have to get a license before you have all the material stuff on hand (individual beds) etc. on hand. Then resolve to pray or each one constantly so that you may have God's help in raising them.

  7. foster's. But VB's better.

  8. bubble bath is good

clean clothes would be good to have on hand

    extra tooth brushes

    high chairs

    bibs

    bottles

    diapers

    pacifiers

    teething rings

    baby wipes

    kids medicine (baby through teen)

    hair supplies

    feminine supplies (teen girls)

    basic toiletries

    baby bath tub

and a lot of love good luck

  9. maybe u should check other foster homes and ask them what else would u need. And maybe then ask people if they want to donate anything.

I think there are specific standards.

  10. My mom and dad were foster parents and they had to have a bed for each child and separate rooms for boys and girls. But that's pretty much it. When ever the company comes to check out ur home they will go over their checklist of what they expect out of u and ur home. Good Luck & God Bless!

  11. Kids.
