I'm starting a site (India) wherein a user can create a profile of third person and rate him.is it legally ok?

This question is related to cyber law. The service that I will be starting will be like - user "A" logs in to a website and creates a profile of "B". User "A" invites other people to rate "B". Eventually, all the registered members can view the rating of B. My question is - Is it legally ok in India.

you should refer to the laws of your country and probably ask in the legal section.

See this is not legal in India and If you do so U'll be held liable for defamation and the affected party may sue you for damages so it is better not to do so
