Question:

I'm starting cheer at the end of July, help!!?

I'm not very flexible, i cant do a cartwheel or anything like that, i havent really even tried. I'm 13 so I'm in junior midgets, is there anyway for me to like, umm be good at it, please i really want to do this, and do it right.

  1. if you havent really even tried...then maybe you should...besides you&#039;re only 13, you have many ways to go.

    go watch people do it on youtube.


  2. Stretch A LOT (stand up with legs open stretch right left middle. sit down with legs open as wide as possible and do the same..stretch into splits as far as possible...or try at least.you dont have to go all the way down)...are you doing pop warner or high school or middle school?

    i was in pop warner for about 8 years. maybe you should look into gyms where they have gymnastics classes. they teach you flexibility and cartwheels and whatnot.

    exercise a lot too because if you are stunting then you will need that muscle to lift girls up or if you are being lifted.

    (sit-ups,push-ups, paratroopers,aerobics, and all of that type of stuff)

    eat right (eat a lot of protein and potassium before practice. potassium helps with cramping a lot)

    learn to yell (use your diaphragm--when you yell if your stomach is pushing out when you yell then you are doing it correctly)

    always put your all into practice and TRY your best =]
