I'm starting college this fall, can I still apply for scholarships?

I'm starting at UMaine in the fall. Where can I find scholarships I can still apply for and what semesters would they apply to? Obviously I can't get any help for this first fall semester, but could I get help for the spring semester or will I have to wait until sophomore year?

also, can I apply for the same kinds of scholarships that I applied for in high school or do they have to be different?

i'm sure you will be able to find something for the spring semester and your sophomore year. there are tons of scholarships and grants out there if you look in the right places.

i doubt you can apply for the same kinds of scholarships that you applied for in high school. but if you read the fine print you may be surprised.

brokescholar.com, fastweb.com, etc. etc.  There are bunch of website with scholarships listed.  You can apply any time and you may very well find some for this Fall.  

As for the one's you applied for in High School, if they're requirements do not require a particular grade in school, then go ahead a try again.  If they stipulate "Must be a High School Junior or Senior," then don't bother.
