I'm starting cross country at my high school tomorrow, and I was wonering what are the best foods to eat ?

When I was in track my coach would always tell us to eat plenty of whole grain foods/carbohydrates (no refined/processed flour such as white breads),lean protein (light meat on chicken,fish,soy,etc.) and fiber rich foods (pretty much any kinda of vegetable) , natural sugars (fruits),and of course to keep hydrated. Hope that helps you out some.
