I'm starting football this year. I'm 13 years old and I'm 107lbs. I can't run far or for to long without having trouble breathing. I want to know if I should play offense or defense and what position should I play?

  1. water boy! jk jk jk lol!

  2. be a goal keeper they don't run very far

  3. You should honestly start a running and sprinting program because you’re too light to be on the line. Maybe take the year off and beef up with weights while building your endurance would be the best thing for you right now. Trust me; you won’t regret it and you can start your sophomore year as a pretty good player rather than starting your freshman year as a benchwarmer.

  4. pick another sport, mate.

  5. play ice hockey my dearest boy

  6. Hmmm, that's tough but I might go with Tight-End, BUT you would really need to work out and gain some muscle weight to play any position exceptionally well.

  7. benched

  8. lol ur a little small for a lineman. FB dont have to run that far. usually short distance dives. mabii a noseguard or center.

  9. water boy sounds about right.

  10. offense maybe and i think you should maybe go to the docter to or start working because it will be hard to run if you have trouble breathing

  11. You are kind of light for defensive work.  You are ok for offense, but need to get a physical and start running every day to build up your endurance.

Your coach will determine what position you get to play.  Players generally have very little to say in that department.

If you can throw, or kick well, you may be a "Speciality" squad player.  Who knows till you give it a try!

  12. u might have to be around the wing because you dont have 2 run far

  13. benched or a waterboy

  14. At your age i was about the same weight and in the beginning of the season I had trouble breathing after running a long distance. What you can be is maybe Tight End. They only have to run if they have a route. You can be considered as a blocking TE so you wont have to run as much. Safety is a pretty good position to. You only have to cover a certain part of the field. Or Full Back if your strong enough.

  15. I suggest that u try out for an offensive position given ur weight, but u have the body of a runningback or a wingback so u better start getting that endurance up!
