  1. it's up to you. if you like soccer, you might want to go for it. Everyone manages their time differently. If you have excellent time management skills (and this might be a good time to practice for college! there's going to be a lot you want to do there, too!) it might be good for you to be this busy. It will keep you out of trouble, anyway.  You can always quit something if it's too much.

  2. its good to get yourself out there. i would join as many groups as you would feel comfortable.

if it all gets to overwhelming you can always stop an activity.

its highschool, have fun but remember to keep up on school work. good luck! highschool is soo much better then middleschool

  3. I think it might be too much.  Sports usually require a big time commitment with practices and games, and can eat up a lot of your time especially if traveling is involved.

Honors courses usually have pretty heavy homework that requires you to think on your own rather than just copying things straight from the book, so they're challenging.  You need time to keep up with the reading and studying as you go along so you don't get overwhelmed.

If it comes down to it, look through all of your activities and make sure that you're doing what you love.  if you need to, you can drop them during the school year once you see what you're interested in and whether you really like everything that you've joined.

I was in a bunch of different bands, as well as choir and music lessons, and in all honors courses, and that definitely kept me really busy.

Remember that a lot depends on you, though.  Whether or not you procrastinate, how much free time you want, how quickly you can study and finish your homework, how important soccer is in your life, how much sleep you need, how much it takes for you to get overwhelmed, and how you manage your time.

You can probably find some kind of soccer program to take over the summer if you really love it but don't have the time during the school year.

  4. ya thats definitely too much to handle freshman year. wait til next year to join. you will be glad you did
