  1. Yes! These will be the best years of your life, when you look back! Study hard, excel and change ttrough the learning process as well as participate in a social revolution of meeting new people!

  2. just dont worry too much.  the media always makes a big deal of going to high school, as do people already in high school.  its just a normal school with all of your regular friends.

like the first person said, if you just act like yourself, you will be fine.

  3. As corny as this may sound, it's true: be yourself.  When I was in high school I noticed that so many people changed aspects of themselves just to fit in with a group or clique.  While some of these people did indeed become "popular", I don't think they were happy.  Just be yourself and you'll fall in with a group of people similar to yourself.  You'll be far happier that way.

  4. Nervous about that first day at HS? Join the club! Oh, I see you already have! For me that was in 1961, but it seems like yesterday. The first thing I learned was that trusting my memory for all that new stuff was a mistake, as there was just too much of it for anyone to keep it all straight, and one must write down all assignments, dates of upcoming tests, etc. It proved essential for difficult subjects to have either access to people who had passed that course already, or the company of people currently taking it. This made the difference between good times/good grades, and endless anguish! In class, the teachers tell you in detail exactly what will be on the tests, so write it down as they tell you. What could be easier? But almost everyone misses out on that somehow. You will be constantly tempted, and heavily pressured, to bite off twice what anyone can chew. Don't do it! Don't volunteer for anything! The time and energy consumption will drag down your grades precipitously. Some colleges look at extra-curricular activities for nebulous entrants, but for any specialized college program, it's only your Entrance Exams and an HS Diploma, with grades only modifying your Freshman array of classes to get you up to speed. Finally, you will probably notice the mob spraying all kinds of harassment gas weapons, to assert turf. Don't fret over a suddenly-malfunctioning body part, just wait for the air to clear. If you notice who did it, anonymously tell the local FBI, who wants to know about all domestic terrorists, even if it is a lone victim, as they add up. Regards, Larry.

  5. I am still in Middle school but many of my cousins are in HS. So beware of Backstabbing girls-they talk ,gossip ,and try to tease you. Make sure to join a club that you like, It may win you some friends(Works anywhere).. Don't be nervous! Think of Fred... He is going to be a Freshman this year in Kansas City So No Biggie!

    Good Luck!
