  1. dont worry bout them, try your best

  2. while the weathers nice

sit in a park with revision books

the fresh air will help :)

  3. SAME HERE

focus!! try different ways of learning for me i learn by colours!

    you can use:

    1)the internet

2)if you have other brothers and sister then ask them to help you in your revision

    3)mind maps

    4)bullet points

everyone has different ways of learning

    find whats best for you

  4. It really depends what sort of learner you are.

Do you learn better by just reading things from text books?

Or by doing lots of questions?

Or maybememorisingsing things using songs or mnemonics?

I personally find the best way to revise it to lock yourself in your bedroom, disconnect the TV and the games console, and stick your head in your work for hours!

  5. do you mean you are starting the GCSE syallabus (going into year 10/11) or do you mean that you have exams in the next month or two?

because i have just taken my GCSE exams in may/june and have now left school, and although teachers tell you to revise over summer i personally found that i couldnt revise because like you said, i just couldnt concentrate! the thing is its summer so id enjoy yourself while you can. ok doesnt sound great advice but unless your exams are very soon...by which i mean in the next month, most of the revision you do now will be forgotten by the time you need it in an exam! what i did was i started revising a month before all my exams started and i revised in the order of exams i had...

for example, history was my first exam and biology my second and maths was my 3rd...so i revised them in that order, otherwise if i revised for maths before history, when it came to taking my history exam id forgotten all my revision cos my brain was filled with maths! seriously dont worry too much, im still confident about how i did in my exams even though i only revised a month before, i just gave myself a lot of time to revise within this month....

as for keeping focus, you need to revise somewhere where there are no distractions. make sure you dont have the TV on in the background as you are more likely to stop revising and watch TV (what i ended up doing lol) and try and revise in a room where you are alone, unless you are revising with someone else. its often good to revise with another person who is taking the same exam as you at the same time because you will both understand what you have to revise and if one person doesnt understand a bit of the syllabus then the other should be able to help them out. make sure you eat before/during your revision as this will give you enough energy to actaully revise!

also its very important you take breaks during revision, there is some statistic which says that you shouldnt revise anymore than 2 hours at a time because after this you start to lose concentration! it depends on what you are like though, because i have so little concentration i could only revise for half an hour at a time.

what i will recommend is that you buy some revision books for the subjects you need to revise and also if you head on over to - http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesiz... - there are loads of great revision notes which arent boring, which helps you to concentrate while revising. if you go onto that website, on the right hand side there is a side heading called 'bitesize audio' and if you click on that you can download for free loads of revision mp3s so if you get bored of reading your revision notes, you can listen to them instead! if you are revising by reading, make notes on the keypoints which you think you need to remember the most, and then read these on the day of your exam to refresh your mind!

i was so worried about the GCSES but as long as you revise enough so that you feel you can go into an exam and answer most of the questions then im sure you will do fine. everyone makes a huge fuss over them but in the end, they arent anything to be scared about, just try your best and then you will be pleased with yourself that you did well :) and good luck!
