Well, I'm starting my senior year next Tuesday and I'm afraid of facing all the stress such as college apps, college tests(SAT Subject), AP Classes, Tennis games/practice, clubs, community service, etc.

I don't know. I hear people always saying that senior year is the best year of high school..but it doesn't seem so fun when you have so much coming up!! It's a lot of stress too. Junior was already a hard year for me. AP classes and sports is hard to balance. I don't know if I can overcome all these stress my senior year..you know with college application deadlines and stuff. Too much work to do!!

Most importantly, I'm SO worried that I will end up not going to prom at all

and will regret it later. I don't think I will end up going to prom because nobody will ask me out and I don't have much friends at school..not best friends at least and they'll have their own dates for the prom.

I certaintly will NOT go to prom alone or with my twin sister!! that will be so stupid....

I never been to any kind of ball dance, homecoming, girls league, or even football games.........because I don't have a date or anything!!

Is it normal to be afraid of starting senior year? What can I do to make sure I will have a date to prom or at least some more friends to go to prom with???

PLEASE HELP!!

THANKS ;]

  1. Senior year was the best year of high school for me. You're the top grade in the school so you "own" it, plus dont worry about having a date for prom or anything, its EXTREMELY overrated. I went with a chick to prom and it was the worst night of my life. I didnt get drunk or laid or anyhing. but really, dont worry about it. your senior year will go so freaking fast that you'll be at your graduation ceremony and look back and think "d**n, i missed it?"

I'd give anything to relive my senior year. i thought it would be pretty hellish too but i loved it. Don't worry. Just buck up, put your nose to the grind stone, and it will be over tomorrow.

  2. i dont think what you are feeling is un normal

but i also thought i would never get a date to my prom

you have a whole year and alot can happen over this 1 year

someone might surprise you and ask you out

just take it 1 day at a time

and as for college apps n stuff its not that bad

just always ask your counselor to help you when you need it and it really shouldnt be a problem

applying is one of the easiest parts of the college process believe it or not

    and 1 word of advice

apply for financial aid fafsa immediatley after january 1st so that you can get most or all of your money for college

i waited to apply for financial aid and now i regret it cuz now i have to wait for january to go to college when i should have started college this week

senior year is not bad at all

just enjoy your self while still getting good grades and stuff you will be fine i promise

  3. I'm in the same position as you are so you know you're not alone. The best thing to do is to be calm and take things as they come instead of everything all at once.
