I did 200 Curls (100 each arm)

I did 200 Pull Backs (100 Each arm)

I also did 100 Bench presses (both arms at same time)

I want to know what else can I do to get my arms/upper body bigger.

I also want to know If I am doing enough lifting.

But the problem is I only have 10 lb weights

So if I do more will that increase my muscle size or do i need heavier weights

  1. The routine you are doing is fine - but it really depends what your goals are.

I am not sure how old or how tall you are, but what I would say is by judging on the amount of reps you are doing and your aim to build more muscle your routine probably needs adjusting.

    This rule normally apples:

The more reps you do, and the lighter weight you lift the more you are building up your STAMINA. (Fitness weights)

The less reps you do, and the heavier weight you lift you are building up your MUSCLE growth.

I am also keen to build muscle and I find the best routine for doing this is by INCREASING the weight and LOWERING the reps as I go. For example:

    Bicep Curls

    12 reps of 10kg each arm X 2

    10 reps of 12kg each arm X 2

    8 reps of 14kg each arm x 2

You can, if you like, in between reps work out a totally different part of your body. This makes your heart pump your blood to a different area of your body therefore killing 2 birds with one stone. Doing a cardio work out while building muscle.

In order to build muscle you need to work out each muscle to the fullest. Make sure you eat lots of protein (fish and chicken especially) and supplement this with a protein shake, after working out. Before working out eat protein with carbs - potatoes, bread, pasta.

Be careful not to over do it though, more than a 45 min workout and your body will start using your muscle as a source of energy rather than the carbs you have eaten.

    Hope this helps
