Aw, honey I don't think u realise. Ireland is a total rip-off of a country to live in. I hate to say it coz I do love it here (most of the time)

Have u done enough research into how much petrol is going to cost, or bus fares, or groceries, or cigarettes, or alcohol, or a night out at the movies or bowling? All of these probably won't apply but some will.

Anyway, I used to work in an Estate Agents and ur best bet would be a room share. It still may cost up to €125 a week for a fairly decent place in Rathmines, or Portobello, which are near the city on the southside but u can get a room share for €90 if ur lucky. The place will probably be a bedsit with three of u in it, though and u will have to share a kitchen and a bathroom with five other bedsits, all with three or four people each in them.

To rent an apartment/flat on ur own will cost roughly €800 - €1000 euro a month, depending on condition of property and locations. There is a lettings specialist in D2 who specialize in finding accomadation for people from other countries. Or u can always try Daft.ie and look for accomadation that way. U can search for places to rent *or* room share.

Best of luck and welcome to Ireland. Make sure u have a lot of money with u though.

  2. well Lilla, 100 euros may get you a room for 2 nights, inc breaky!

Living in a dodgy area will still cost you heeps, but a nice area is Malahide. Good bus service to city.

There is nowhere cheap in Ireland !!

  3. lol

  4. Your best bet for 100 euro is a card board box. You can't live in a major US city for $125 a week let alone Dublin. I agree with the previous answer, stay outside the city...far outside maybe even another county and go to Dublin only when you need too.

  5. Don't listen to all the negative people here who don't know what they are talking about!  go to www.daft.ie there are loads of places in Dublin that you can get for that price!
