I'm staying at the Riu Cancun...i believe the Royal is as good as it gets hands down. Wait till you see the lobby...you will flip. I've seen pictures and its amazing. I wish I could have stayed at the Royal. But you are very lucky!!! As far as what to look for? They will take care of you the minute you arrive in a cooper. This is they're signature transportation to and from airport. I would say watch for timeshare sellers in the airport as you come into Cancun. I've heard its pretty bad with these people bugging the tourists. I have to watch out for it also...as I leave in a week. Just walk right pass them...its not rude.

Stayed at the royal in april the resort is beautiful.Excellent service,drinks and food.Would recomend it to anyone
