I'm suppose to write about my family tree for like 3 generations I dont know my family?

plus, this is a way for the instructor to be noisy, I dont want him getting my information....what should I do

As mentioned in prior post talk to parents, uncles, aunts, cousins to get names and info about these prior generations. You might be able to derive interesting things by looking thru old photo albums or family Bible.   Many public libraries have access to genealogy websites like Ancestry-Com, if you have names with birthdates you can search the various federal census reports.  And old phone directories can be helpful when researching older relatives.  Good Luck!

if you're in a Genealogy , History class, it's normal and as long as you don't give out any social security numbers, you should be okay.  Talk to your parents, grandparents and Aunts and Uncles.   Older people love to talk about the good old days, I'm sure they will be glad to talk about it

For 3 generations you should talk with your family.  

As for as Ditdit answers, I believe his father should have gone down and talked with the principal and told him point blank that he felt the teacher was being overly intrusive and if that didn't work, take it up with the school board and if that didn't work, get a lawyer even if he had to get one from the ACLU. This does not mean I agree with the ACLU about all of its agenda.   A family has a right to keep their family information from a teacher if they don't want to give it to him/her. In the long run a teacher is not God.

Wow back in 7th grade I was given the same task AND asked what my father did for a living. My father thought that was nosy so he told me to tell the teacher "bootlegger" . I think I got detention for that.

If you truly do not want to give out details use your last name for father A- make up a last name for mother B. Then grandparents A &C and B&D

Great Grands  A&E  and C& F   and B&G and D&H

you have to make up 7 last names.

make each generation born 20-25 years earlier going back from your parents. I got a C because I forgot to hand it in on time
