  1. nope

  2. I think that Waylon would do the exact same thing he did back then - he would break from Nashville and create his own sound.   I also think that there would be SOME of us who would listen.  I don't know if they would be able to create the chart toppers that Nashville requires, but they would be playing their music - THEY WAY THEY LIKE IT!!!!!

  3. No! "Murder on Music Row" had it right.

  4. They would be considered " Red Dirt" which I think is more Country than what they play on the radio...I'm sure they'd be fine in Texas and Oklahoma

  5. Yes, because they were artists and they would have gone with today's flow and made it anyway.  If they were smart enough to make it then, they'd be smart enough to make it now.

The question is, would any of these anemic "country" artists of today have made it then?  The answer is NO.

  6. Nope somebody commited Murder on Music Row.

  7. Waylon definitely would cause he was a trendsetter  not a follower

  8. They could make it in "country" country - in other words, places outside the big cities. Unfortunately most of what passes for country these days isn't much more than warmed-over pop. Ugh.
