I would take her someplace fun and not to "stuffy". Since this is your first date try to keep it light and easy that way you won't have to worry about trying to be so proper that you guys don't get the chance to find out about each other and have a good time. Maybe someplace like those Japanese Hibachi restaurants or  as  another posts says a pizza parlor. Have fun.

My favorite place is Carrabbas. I think it's a great place to go for a 1st date.  They also do call ahead seating too!

There has to be a nice local restaurant around. Not too dressy but not jeans either. Try a movie before dinner though this way you are hungry and have something to talk about.

well show her yo have a fun side take her to a really good pizza place that no one knows about then to iceskating or bumber cars no matter what age and after go for icecream sit outside and open up about everything
