  1. sneak it on the train.

they will charge you double for the drinks on the train

and that is a long trip, so hide some in your bag.

  2. YEAH u can they actually have a car with a bar on it so if u feel like spending money buy from the bar

  3. If you can get a sleeper berth, it's game on. Close the door to the berth, lock it, and pull the curtain. Get a cup of ice from the attendant before you lock up and bring the bottle out, and you are in business. If you are in a coach seat, then it's going to be a lot harder.

Or you can walk back to the snack car and buy a beer. Snack cars have tables and chairs, so you can have a seat and enjoy your drink.

Also, if it's meal time, you can walk to the dining car and order beer or wine with your meal. (Probably can't get an alcoholic beverage at breakfast!)

DON'T get sauced. If you get a little tipsy, the train crew will probably let it go, as long as you control yourself. But if you get out of hand they'll put you off the train at the next station... AFTER they make sure that John Law is there to meet you.

  4. I don't see a bottle of liquor. And if they don't either and you don't get rip-roaring drunk,  remember Sgt Schultz on Hogan;s heroes;?? , "" I know nothing,i hear nothing, I see nothing "

  5. I took Amtrak once about 12+ years ago, and the train that I was on had a car with a bar. I bought a couple of beers. You have to drink it there at the bar. It was kinda nice. I think you can get sloshed if you want.

You may want to check with Amtrak. This page at Amtrak.com will tell you:

  6. Looks like a no for you....

    Alcoholic Beverages

    Beverage service

We serve alcoholic beverages aboard Amtrak in most Dining, Lounge and Cafe Cars.

    Private stock

You also may bring aboard your own private stock of alcoholic beverages and consume such beverages subject to the following limitations:

You may consume private stock alcoholic beverages only in Sleeping Car accommodations for which you have a valid ticket.

You may not consume private stock alcoholic beverages in any public areas.

I'd say cases of beer may be out, but a mixed drink in a regular container may not cause a problem, as long as it doesn't get noticed and you don't act up.
