One suggestion was to get a pack-n-play and use it on the beach. Thoughts?

  1. Pack N' Play is definitely a good idea. That way she won't be tempted to shove fistfuls of sand in her mouth. Also, take a trip to Walmart/Target/Walgreens before you go, and purchase some baby sunscreen, and a wide rimmed baby hat. Make sure you have plenty of water so she doesn't get dehydrated. And have fun!

  2. Pack and play is a great idea cause she can lay down. blankets, make sure you have shade for her and SUN SCREEN!!! its so important. bring toys and carefully in the water dont let it in her ears they say that if the water gets in the ear it can cause chronic ear infections

  3. We took my son when he was 3 1/2 months and again when he was 6 `1/2 months.  He did very well just laying on a large beach blanket, under a large umbrella.  The important things are:  keep applying sunscreen, keep him in the shade for most of the time, cover his eyes with sunglasses or a hat, and keep the sand out of his face and hands.

  4. we're going to hawaii in two weeks w/ our baby and we're renting one of these to protect her from the sun:

we're renting it from a baby equipment rental company --- maybe they have someplace similar where you're going?
