I can suggest a very good and convenient camp site. It is called Camping Roma, Via Aurelia  831,

This is an excellent, clean and not very expensive camp site on the Via Aurelia, about 3 kilometers from the city and only 6 from the Vatican City. It has a huge supermarket on the other side of the street that sells anything from food to clothes, books and household appliances. They have a shuttle bus that leaves every hour and takes you right to the subway in about 15 minutes. I know it well as I live very close to it and have friends who stay at it regularly when in town and tell me it's one on the best they've ever been to and that their prices are more than fair! It has all camping commodities and it is very, very clean!
