I'm the captain of soccer, basketball, volleyball, but the people don't think i'm the best?

what do i do? Cause i know that i'm really good but some of them think that they're better, and that when i make a mistake i should be kicked out the position of captain.

the captain of the team isnt the best player but the best leader the 1 who wont swear at refs. and things like that... so if you keep that up then ur captain spot should be safe

Nacho the reason that you are captain is for your leadership and people skills not because you are the best. The best player is usually a self centered primadonna. To be captain you have to be a team player and put others ahead of you. You have to always be positive and work 110%. You have great organizational skills and can think quickly. A leader doesn't have to be the best player but has to be consistent and lead. Making mistakes is nothing more than loosing sight of your goals or getting worried about loosing your Captaincy. They aren't going to take the C away from a Captain unless he really messes up bigtime so just relax and play a solid team game. Be the one others can count on. Show up early stay late work hard and always be positive.

only thing you can do is just keep playing as hard as you can. being a captain means being a leader to your teammates also not just being the best at your position.

You have to be a leader.  When you do make a mistake show that you know how to pick your head up and keep going.  When others make mistakes help them to pick their heads up to.  Your job as a captain isn't to be the best it is to lead the team in the best way possible.  Don't have a big ego just keep everyone pumped up and keep a good attitude.

That is really absurd. YOU are captain because you have the most leadership and are the most responsible person. Being captian has nothing to do with your skill, and dont let your team mates let you think otherwise. Dont try to live up to their standards. Seriously though, google "picking team captains" and you will find that many of the criteria contains leadership,

I have played many many sports and through highschool not all of the most skilled were captains. Sometimes it works that way BUT because they DID have leadership skills more than anybody else on the team. Now you may be a case where, you have some good people on the team but they show no sign of leadership.

YOu continue on being an extremely good captain, by the end of the season prove it to them that you were right for the job. And even as a captain include your team mates on important decisions, so that they feel that they have a say so in whats going on.
